Wolfgang Eibeck und Robert Mayer siegten gegen Nichtbehinderte
Robert Mayer, who is starting for the NÖVSV since this year, had an incredible success! At the Tyrolian Stat-Championships for non didabled athletes, he reached his 400m A-Limit for the Paralympics 2008 in Peking. But with his time of 54,91 sec. He did not only reach the limit, he also won the state championship and is now (non-disabled!!) State Champion of Tyrol! Until today, no shank-amputated athlete ever won a non-disabled state championship!
We congratulate Robert Mayer to his unbelievable success!!
Wolfgang Eibeck also reached a similar success! He took the non-disabled Austrian State Championship at the single time trial! He beat his non-disabled colleagues in a 24,6 km race in 31mins 17sec time with a speed average of unbelievable 41,7 km/h
The NÖVSV congratulates his athletes to their respectable success! Direct comparison to non-disabled opponents show the real strength of our athletes!
Malicious glee is not appropriate, but nobody may be angry at us, if we smile amusedly at those victories of our athletes! Being beaten by a shank amputated athlete in the 400m sprint might cause a little depression….
