A report from Andreas Onea!
“Dear press representatives!
Dear friends and supporters!
In the last few months during the preparation for the Paralympics many things have changed. One of the highlights on this way was the National Championship for disabled people which took place in Dornbirn last week. I therefore want to report on the competition in a few lines:
The Austrian National Championships in Swimming of disabled people took place on august 5th and august the 6th in the Dornbirner swimming baths. In addition to all the sportsmen from Austria and Switzerland there also started the Paralympics-Swimming-team consisting of Peter Tichy, Sabine Weber-Treiber and Andreas Onea. With 7 victories and the most points of the week Andy went towards London.”
Andreas Onea who starts for the BSV Weißer Hof (Klosterneuburg) contributed a big part to the results of the association. At all starts he reached the first place and could satisfy all the expectations. He is particularly pleased with his results in 100m breast. “With 1:15:15 I´m very happy because I´m in a good position for the international standards. Now we have to carry on working concentrated for the next competitions.” In the next few weeks there are another two training-camps to train intensely for London.
